Dr. Ann Brown, formerly Ann Nelson, studied animal science and veterinary medicine at Michigan State University. She graduated with high honors from veterinary medical school in 1995. She spent two years at Colorado State University studying anatomic pathology and molecular genetic research techniques. Ann started clinical practice in the Denver metro area in 1997. She has worked in many capacities, including walk-in clinics, shelter medicine, general small animal practice and surgery, dentistry, emergency and critical care, acupuncture, and exotics! She completed Colorado State University’s certification program in veterinary medical acupuncture in 2009 and she earned certification in small animal abdominal ultrasound through Oncura Veterinary Partners in 2015. Ann also received an Essential Skills Certificate through the American Medical Writers Association in 2023. In her free time, Ann enjoys reading, creative writing, yoga, and meditation. She lives in Westminster, Colorado with her husband, two children, and four dogs. Ann believes cookies-n-naptime should be reinstated in adulthood! We are so excited to have her on our team!
